Do you use a dating site? If so, do you pay for the site membership? A recent article on cnn about online dating suggests that most members on dating sites have free profiles, but do not pay for memberships, which means they have no way of knowing that they are being contacted by paid members.
I am curious how many of you use dating sites to browse profiles but do not pay for membership yourself. Let’s see if this is a major trend. Take the survey below to let me know what you do.

Dating online is very convenient, and by contacting paid members,we can at least be sure that they are on this site for a serious reason, not some jerk logged on just to annoy people.
The vast majority of people I have spoken to have said that paid sites tend to weed out the fake profilesand 15 year old photos (when he had his own hair, teeth and physique!) BUT a friend of mine has nowbeen married for 5 years and she met her hubby on a free site so who can tell?
I think it’s like life, themoreyou get out and about the moreyou increase your odds of meeting Mr or Mrs right….

Yes, I use online dating sites.
I found few good dating and friendship sites including match.com.
I have only a member of plenty of fish, but have a strong desire to join Match.com but don’t believe there are many members in my area which is the reason I have refrained.

Over the years I’ve done them all, paid (i.e. E-Harmony, Match, Black People Meet, etc) and unpaid (Craig’s List). I used to think that paid websites weeded out a lot of the undeseriables. However, I have met some very neat guys on Craig’s List.
